'App not installed' error on Android
Okay! I can only offer so much since I am but the user like you, but Ima try.
Thinking about it some more, if the package differs somewhat (is installed from a different “store”, and then you try to update through a different “store”) you might get this error.
Too, if you have installed these apps from the Owner profile, make sure you have “App installs and updates” set to Enabled in
Settings → System → Users → “X user” → App installs and updates
Too, I’ve noticed that the secondary profile only gives the “app not installed” message, when the Owner profile would more likely give a more detailed error
If these don’t find to be the issue, you might find more salvation in the GOS forum. They can be more resolution-oriented kind of people, with some roughness along the edges, but I believe in heart they only try to help. They can offer the best technical support there is!
More information about the update structure regarding this:
apps are installed “globally” on the phone, but only available to profiles that have installed the app.
For example: if I install an app in profile A, but not in profile B, the app only shows up in profile A. But if profile B installs the app, it now shows up. It’s the same app.
If any profile installs a newer version of the app, the app is effectively updated for all profiles (but only visible to profiles that have “installed” it)
