"replace the data diode you’re expecting to get mailed to you"
],
"textContent": "Litigated:\n\n> ever thought about linking up with Nitrokey or another company to sell pre-built diodes?\n\nThis is so common question it’s in the project FAQ. : ) But the short version is the problem is I can’t really guarantee what you’d get in the mail. The last thing you want is for nation state actors to replace the data diode you’re expecting to get mailed to you. So it’s just less dangerous to source the components yourself from preferably your local brick and mortar, or amidst a bunch of components you’d order from say DigiKey.\n\nThe components shouldn’t be too expensive. The TTL adapters are about 7..16 bucks on Amazon and the rest of the components should be roughly 20-30 depending on model you’re building. But I guess it depends where you live, what the shipping will amount to, and how much the store’s margins are. I hope you’ll find a deal somewhere!",
