Ha! I like the way the tab icon and title changes on their personal blog when you open a new tab. This is what they recommend: JavaScript disabled by default for everything unknown to you, and only enable it for websites that you know and trust. I think this is less extreme than turning it off completely. But profiling sites before you trust them might take too long.
