Brave Launches Paid, Bloat-Free "Brave Origin"

1. Firefox is not Chromium. Someone may want privacy but also the security that a Chromium-based browser provides.
2. Brave offers Brave Sync, which lets you easily sync bookmarks across different devices (and passwords, etc.).
3. As I understand it, Brave Origin offers sharing anonymous statistics as opt-in rather than opt-out.
4. For people like me who use different profiles as “containers”, having these features disabled by default makes life quite easy. For example, I have to configure 8 different profiles across macOS, Fedora, Windows, iPad, and Android.
5. Furthermore, Brave Origin makes sense as a way to encourage more Linux distributions to opt for shipping Brave preinstalled instead of Firefox. Having crypto-related features — along with bloatware, etc. — is not very well regarded by the community.
