Email aliases via proton or tuta paid - using custom domain from cloudflare, following bazzell ebook

Any1 buy a domain via cloudflare and then setup email via paid proton or tuta like bazzell eBook? For creating custom email aliases and can easily reply from alias? Apparently proton does it better. My proton VPN expires end of this month so was thinking about upgrading to include the email stuff so that I can leave ddg email aliases world. Is it easy to do? tx
