Signal is working on a standalone version for Signal Desktop that does not require a mobile phone

I did not used google voice. I use a canadian voip number. Not a great solution as privacy goes tho. I have 2 lifetime hushed (canadian numbers) that I use on another android device. This android phone has a VPN and only the hushed app installed through aurora store.
