It's back - identity verification for using AI in Florida

Somehow, privacy-invasive legislation has returned.

There is a bill that will be introduced during the upcoming special session of the Florida Legislature which will be identical to a bill that requires age verification for using AI chatbots. The special session will start in April 28 so we have about two weeks for Floridians to contact their state representatives to oppose this bill.

If the age verification requirement is replaced with only a requirement that parental controls must be available, then it’s a good bill. If the age verification requirement remains, it must be opposed.
