"textContent": "Hello again Privacy Guides community! It’s been a long time.\nPriEco still exists but now lives on a new domain https://prieco.net/\n\nOver the time of adding features, testing PriEco, communicating with users, I came to a conclusion that PriEco **MUST** become independent. It just wasn’t scalable. No way forward without it.\nSo, I stopped all of my other activities and started working on an independent index. It was a hard, long job. After 1.5y I had a great, working web crawler.\nI’ve let it crawl the internet and in the meantime PriEco’s code became too huge and disorganized, so I rewrote it from PHP to everyone’s beloved Rust.\nRecently, I added some widgets and news to make PriEco more lively.\n\nI keep on improving PriEco but as of now we sit at 193.18M web pages in the index.\nI’d like to ask you to try https://prieco.net/ and tell me what you think\nWe have a web discovery browser extension too:\n\n * Firefox: PriEco Web Discovery – Get this Extension for 🦊 Firefox (en-US)\n * Chromium: https://chromewebstore.google.com/detail/prieco-web-discovery/odphpfhemicnmmnbjbljinhllekdgcjn\n\n\n\nif you’d like to effortlessly contribute\n\nPriEco’s compliance with Privacy Guides:\n\n 1. **Must not collect PII per their privacy policy:**\n 2. **Must not require users to create an account with them:**\n 3. **Should be based on open-source software:** - PriEco is open source under AGPL v3\n 4. **Should not block Tor exit node IP addresses:** - we have onion domain\n\n\n\nThat said PriEco is protected by Cloudflare. I had to make this decision as PriEco wouldn’t be able to handle the bot traffic Cloudflare already blocks. So their privacy policy also applies. Onion version is pure.\n\nPriEco is still developing, so, I’m more asking you to just try it and give it a chance than anything else.\n\nI am also active here and replying to your comments, so feel free to do so",
