"textContent": "nateb:\n\n> I don’t know if any of that made any sense. I’ve rewritten this like, a dozen times. The caffeine is only doing so much lol\n\nIt makes a lot of sense. Thank you for this incredibly valuable insight. I never considered the possibility of using 2of3 in a content where you don’t want the person to access your password while you’re still around or there are no emergencies.\n\nnateb:\n\n> I hope that everyone here has at least one person like that in their life.\n\nThank you I hope so too. I think 2of3 is also useful when the people you trust the most might not be the most tech-savvy. I think it might be good to leave them instructions and practice an emergency scenario together.\n\n**When it comes to yourself, would you use 2of3 for more than one account?**\n\nI currently don’t use any Yubikeys, so I feel like I would need to create 3 sets of cards. My current password manager is 1Password, and it requires a security key on top of the master password when logging into a new device for the first time. That’s 2 sets of cards right there.\n\nI don’t have 2FA enabled on 1Password, precisely because of the security key requirement on new devices. But if I did enable it, I would save the token in Ente Auth, and hence would need a third set of cards for my Ente account.\n\nI worry that that may be too much.\n\n**Would you write down on each card what it’s for?** Like, the name of the service it’s meant for so you don’t mix up your sets of cards, but also, even if you only have one set, so you loved ones remember.",
