I’m not sure to what extent the fact that a VPN provider’s servers are concentrated in a few data centres poses a threat to privacy.
It could be a problem because it might create a single point of failure.
But because a lot of VPN providers send their users’ traffic to a small number of data centres, the traffic from a lot of VPN users gets all mixed together.
This could actually help to protect against NetFlow analysis and traffic correlation attacks.
