"textContent": "I wouldn’t have thought the extra data point (age or age bracket) would commercially justify all that lobbying money and effort, but perhaps it does. Or perhaps Meta is trying to pass all the compliance costs and liability associated with age verification onto OSes to avoid being forced to do it themselves. But I’m just speculating and don’t have a good read of the situation.",
