"textContent": "spell:\n\n> To provide our services as described above, we may disclose personal data to: Partners, service providers, suppliers and contractors”\n>\n> List of data they share with partners:\n>\n> Technical data\n>\n> Location\n>\n> Language preference\n>\n> Settings data\n>\n> Unique identifiers\n>\n> System performance data\n>\n> Interaction data\n>\n> Search data\n>\n> Browsing data\n\nI think the misconception here comes from “Browsing data”. This doesn’t qual browser history.\n\nspell:\n\n> This can mean whatever they want it to mean. Notice how broad that last line is,\n\nIANAL, but this isn’t how contracts work. If a company says “we do not do X”, it doesn’t matter if some broad language elsewhere could contradict the statement. So in the quote it says Mozilla doesn’t share browser history, so it doesn’t.\n\nspell:\n\n> I feel like if you ever need to be having a conversation like this where you’re arguing whether or not a TOS says it is exploiting your data or not, it’s probably not a very well written TOS\n\nI agree with this but I also dislike fearmongering. The fact the head of this project is saying Firefox shares your browser history with Google is concerning. This is plain false.",
