I don’t know the platform, it could be well regarded but to me the first question is: Why on earth would you name yourself after Cambridge Analytica when you try to inform users about stuff like this??? I think the article is just trash tbh. Either I’m misunderstanding what they’re trying to say when they cite sources or they completely cite them wrong? Even the years of publication seem to be wrong and don’t match the ones they linked if I’m not mistaken. Comparing Brave to Cambridge Analytica is just wrong imo. CA harvested data without consent via Facebook’s API. Brave users actively choose to install the browser and opt into rewards/ads. The text is full of weird claims without anything to back it up with in general. Edit: I also don’t really understand why they’re shitting on Signal and Proton. They don’t even really explain their reasoning.
