  "textContent": "<p>Street closures around Grant Park begin Monday for the <a class=\"Link\" href=\"https://chicago.suntimes.com/music/2026/05/21/taste-of-chicago-grant-parkbabyface-beach-bunny-common-food-festival-free\" target=\"_blank\" >Taste of Chicago Festival</a>, which is set to run from July 8-12.</p><p>Starting 6 a.m. Monday, June 29, the curb lanes of Columbus Avenue will close from Monroe Street to Balbo Drive, according to the Office of Emergency Management and Communication.</p><p>That section of street fully closes 6 a.m. Thursday, July 2. At the same time, Ida B. Wells will fully close from Columbus to the semicircle.</p><p>At 6 a.m. Sunday, July 5, Jackson Drive will fully close from Michigan Avenue to Lake Shore Drive.
