"textContent": "<p>A man has been charged in a <a class=\"Link\" href=\"https://chicago.suntimes.com/crime/2026/06/16/bicyclist-27-fatally-shot-in-grant-park\" target=\"_blank\" ><u>the fatal shooting of a cyclist in Grant Park</u></a> earlier this week, according to Chicago police.</p><p>Eliel Argudo-Tenorio, 18, is charged with first-degree murder, police said.</p><p>Officers responded about 12:15 a.m. to a report of a person shot in the 300 block of East Jackson Drive, Chicago police said. </p><p>The 27-year-old victim was riding a bicycle on the sidewalk when he was shot in the leg.</p><p>The cyclist was taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital, where he was pronounced dead, police said. His name has not been released by the Cook County medical examiner’s office.</p><p>Argudo-Tenorio is due in court Friday.<br></p>",
