  "textContent": "<p>A 21-year-old man died after being shot early Saturday near Ford City Mall on the Southwest Side.</p><p>Martin Murillo was outside about 2:50 a.m. in the 7600 block of South Cicero Avenue when someone approached him and fired shots, according to Chicago police and the Cook County Medical Examiner’s Office.</p><p>Murillo suffered a head wound and was taken to Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, where he was pronounced dead later in the morning, authorities said. He was from South Bend, Indiana. </p><p>The gunman fled in a red SUV, police said. No arrests were reported.</p><p>Ford City is slated for closure later this month.
