  "textContent": "<p><a class=\"Link\" href=\"https://chicago.suntimes.com/bears/2026/06/11/bears-qb-caleb-williams-packers-micah-parsons-fire-ice-top-100-funny-nfl-rivalry-green-bay\" target=\"_blank\" >Caleb Williams</a> isn’t about to state his choice for where the <a class=\"Link\" href=\"https://chicago.suntimes.com/bears\" target=\"_blank\" >Bears</a> should play their home games going forward.</p><p>The Bears quarterback said Thursday he doesn’t care whether the Bears play in Hammond, Indiana, Arlington Heights, Chicago — or anywhere else.</p><p>“I’m going to play wherever there’s 120 by 53⅓ [yards] and it’s marked up with white lines and two end zones,” he said. “I’m OK with whatever. Whatever decision they make is whatever decision they make. I just want some green and my teammates and coaches and another team out there. And fans.”</p><p>One week ago, the Bears’ board of directors voted to continue forward with their exploration of building in Hammond — which fell short of being an ironclad commitment to moving across state lines. Bears president/CEO Kevin Warren told Illinois lawmakers he looked forward to continued conversations with them, and Gov. JB Pritzker said he’d call a special legislative session if politicians gain momentum on finding a way to give the team a property tax break.</p><p>The Bears have said they consider Arlington Heights, and not Chicago, the only suitable choice in Cook County.<br></p>",
