SUV hits boy, 4, in Woodlawn

A traffic accident left a 4-year-old boy recovering at a hospital in fair condition Wednesday night in Woodlawn on the South Side.

The boy was between parked vehicles when he darted into the street where a white SUV driven by a 47-year-old woman hit him in the 6600 block of South Evans Avenue around 8:30 p.m., Chicago police said.

He was taken to Comer Children's Hospital where he was in fair condition, police said.

No citations were issued.
