"textContent": "<p>The deaths of four people — including two children — in a suspicious extra alarm West Englewood neighborhood fire have all been rules homicides, officials said Thursday afternoon.</p><p>Autopsies performed Thursday by the Cook County medical examiner's office determined they died of thermal injuries and carbon monoxide toxicity due to the fire, according to the medical examiner's office. <a class=\"Link\" href=\"https://chicago.suntimes.com/crime/2026/05/20/3-kids-among-6-critically-hurt-in-suspicious-2-alarm-fire-at-west-englewood-home-sources\" target=\"_blank\" >Their deaths, including 8-year-old Royalty Ratler, were ruled a homicides. </a></p><p>The blaze erupted early Wednesday in a house in the 6200 block of South Paulina Street, and left Royalty, an unidentified 15-year-old boy and 57-year-old Lisa Brown and 57-year-old Reginald Lee Wilson dead and two other people in critical condition, officials said. </p><p>Police are investigating the blaze in the 6200 block of South Paulina Street as arson.</p><p><i>This is a developing story.
