  "textContent": "<p>Taste of Chicago will expand to five days and return to the heart of summer, with dozens of restaurants and headliners like Babyface, <a class=\"Link\" href=\"https://www.wbez.org/culture-the-arts/2023/08/23/beach-bunnys-lili-trifilio-talks-salt-shed-pool-party\" target=\"_blank\" ><u>Beach Bunny</u></a> and <a class=\"Link\" href=\"https://www.wbez.org/reset-with-sasha-ann-simons/2024/01/29/chicago-native-common-tackles-self-help-in-his-new-book\" target=\"_blank\" ><u>Common</u></a>, the city’s cultural department announced Thursday.</p><p>The free foodie festival will take place July 8-12 in Grant Park. Local talent like <a class=\"Link\" href=\"https://vocalo.org/2025/07/25/kaicrewsade-chicago-artist-lollapalooza-debut\" target=\"_blank\" ><u>Kaicrewsade</u></a> and <a class=\"Link\" href=\"https://www.wbez.org/music/2026/04/20/chicago-band-friko-new-album-something-worth-waiting-for\" target=\"_blank\" ><u>Friko</u></a> will also perform.</p><p>In total, the event will feature 84 food vendors from across Chicago’s diverse neighborhoods. Of those, 38% are new to the festival, according to the city. New food vendors include Café Tola, Kinnaree Thai Kitchen, LC Pho Restaurant, Oooh Wee It Is, Soul Veg City and Taylor’s Tacos.</p><p>Plus, there will be 20 food trucks serving up a variety of foods. Chicago classics like Rainbow Cone, Harold’s Chicken and the Billy Goat Tavern will also be on site.
