  "textContent": "<p>A house explosion left one person dead and two others injured Sunday night in far northwest Wonder Lake, fire officials said. </p><p>The explosion also caused damage to two neighboring residences.</p><p>Fire crews responded at about 7:50 p.m. Sunday to the 7500 block of Birch Drive, the Wonder Lake Fire Protection District said in a statement. </p><p>One person was pronounced dead on the scene, while two others were taken to hospitals, the district said. One of the patients was airlifted by a medical helicopter due to the severity their injuries. Their genders and conditions were not given. </p><p>Due to the serious nature of the incident, a MABAS Box Alarm was requested to bring additional fire and EMS resources to the scene. Mutual aid companies assisted with firefighting efforts, patient care, and scene management, the district said. </p><p>“We would also like to express our sincere appreciation to our mutual aid partners who responded and provided critical assistance,” Fire Chief Matt Yegge said in the statement. </p><p>An investigation into what caused the explosion is underway.<br></p>",
