"textContent": "<p>A woman was charged with murder in the fatal Gage Park stabbing of an infant girl this week, Chicago police announced Sunday.</p><p>Tatiana Maxwell, 25, faces charges of first-degree murder and murder with a strong probability of death or injury.</p><p>Nyhnia Stovall was less than a year old when she was <a class=\"Link\" href=\"https://chicago.suntimes.com/crime/2026/05/15/infant-girl-fatally-stabbed-in-gage-park-on-southwest-side-one-held\" target=\"_blank\" >stabbed Friday</a> in the 3000 block of West 59th Street around 7:20 a.m., according to police and the Cook County medical examiner's office. She was taken to Comer Children's Hospital where she was pronounced dead.</p><p>Maxwell, of Gage Park, allegedly jumped from an upper-level window of an apartment building and was injured, police said. She was taken to University of Chicago Medical Center and was taken into police custody.</p><p>It's unclear if or how Maxwell was related to Nyhnia.</p>",
