Man fatally shot outside a Joliet Dollar Tree

A 31-year-old man was shot and killed in a Dollar Tree parking lot early Sunday in Joliet.

A Joliet police officer near the Dollar Tree at 2900 Colorado Ave. heard gunshots just before 2 a.m., according to a statement from the Joliet Police Department. Officers then found the man shot in the head. He was taken to St. Joseph Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.

No arrests have been made, according to Joliet police.
