  "textContent": "<p>A man in his 60s was killed during a predawn blaze on the West Side. </p><p>The fire erupted about 2:15 a.m. at an apartment building in the 3400 block of West Monroe Street, in the Garfield Park neighborhood, police said.</p><p>By the time officers got there, a woman and a 4-year-old had already escaped and were outside, standing on the sidewalk. <br>Firefighters began extinguishing the flames and found a 62-year-old man inside. He was treated on scene by paramedics and taken to Stroger Hospital, where he was pronounced dead, police said. </p><p>The woman and child were also taken in good condition to Stroger, as a precaution, police said. </p><p>No one was displaced and the cause of the fire was under investigation. </p>",
