A rainy forecast has washed out the White Sox’ home opener originally scheduled for Thursday afternoon against the Blue Jays.
They’ll try to get it in on Friday at 1:10 p.m. instead. Parking lots will open at 10 a.m., with Rate Field gates opening at 11:10 a.m. All tickets for Thursday will be good for Friday.
The 1:10 p.m. games scheduled for Saturday and Sunday at Rate Field are still on as planned, though the weekend forecast looks a little soggy.
The Sox were swept in Milwaukee to start the year and split the first two games of their three-game set in Miami.
Jays hurler Dylan Cease was scheduled to return to Rate Field to face his former team in the opener against Sox righty Sean Burke.
