  "textContent": "<p>A pre-dawn mass shooting in downstate Normal left two Illinois State University students and four other people including two children injured, police and the school said.</p><p>The Normal Police Department responded to a call of multiple shots fired around 2:40 a.m. Sunday in the 700 block of Franklin Avenue where they found six people with gunshot wounds, the department said.</p><p>All six — two boys, two men and two women — were taken to nearby hospitals where they were treated for non-life-threatening injuries.</p><p>An Illinois State University spokesperson confirmed two students were injured. University police helped respond to the shooting, he said.</p><p>Police determined the shooting was an isolated incident.</p><p>No arrests have been made and anyone with information is asked to contact Normal police Detective Kyle McComber at 309-433-3415 or kmccomber@normalil.gov.</p>",
