A woman died after a home fire in Logan Square early Saturday, police said.

Chicago police and the Chicago Fire Department responded to a fire at a home in the 2500 block of North Bernard Street around 1:30 a.m., police said. Firefighters extinguished the blaze and found an 84-year-old woman unresponsive.

The woman was taken to Stroger Hospital, where she was pronounced dead.

No injuries were reported and no one was displaced as a result of the fire, police said.

The Chicago Fire Department didn't immediately respond to requests for comment.
