  "textContent": "<p>Chicago police officers fired their pistols at a charging dog but missed early Friday in Roseland on the Far South Side, according to police.</p><p>Officers were called for a well-being check around 3:15 a.m. in the 12000 block of South Eggleston Avenue, police said in a statement.</p><p>When officers arrived a dog charged towards both officers, police said. Both officers fired their service weapons in the dog’s direction but the dog was not struck, police said. </p><p>The dog’s owner then secured the animal inside the home, police said. Police did not say why officers were called in the first place. No other injuries were reported.</p>",
