And Val Kilmer. <a class=\"Link\" href=\"https://chicago.suntimes.com/bears/2026/03/08/bears-transaction-tracker-2026-offseason-free-agency-coming-going-ryan-poles-ben-johnson\" target=\"_blank\" >Bears</a> quarterback Caleb Williams is “The Iceman” — and he wants to protect his nickname.</p><p>Williams submitted four trademark applications on Monday related to his moniker: one for the name, another for a logo surrounding the name, and two more silhouettes that mimic Williams’ Michael Jordan-esque pose as he completed a pass to Rome Odunze in the <a class=\"Link\" href=\"https://chicago.suntimes.com/bears\" target=\"_blank\" >Bears</a>’ playoff win against the Packers.</p><p>A search of the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office shows Caleb Williams Inc.’s “Iceman” applications for sporting goods, footballs, sweatshirts, T-shirts, hats, jerseys, jackets, vest, water bottles, mugs, bags, backpacks, luggage, sunglasses, posters and downloadable trading cards.</p><p>Williams has already filed trademark applications for his name, initials, bear claw logos and other quarterback images.</p><p>Williams earned the nickname for his performances late in games, and encouraged with a trademark celebration: rubbing his biceps with his opposite hands, as if he were cold. Williams said he drew inspiration from Chelsea soccer player Cole Palmer’s celebration.</p>",
