  "textContent": "<p>A Chicago man was charged with allegedly shooting his mother and a Chicago police sergeant Saturday night in Pullman on the Far South Side. </p><p>Treavor Taylor, of the 11300 block of South Indiana Avenue, was charged with two counts of attempted first degree murder, aggravated battery of a peace officer and aggravated battery by discharging a firearm among other charges, police said. </p><p>The sergeant — driving in a marked police car — was in the <a class=\"Link\" href=\"https://chicago.suntimes.com/crime/2026/03/15/chicago-police-sergeant-on-duty-shot-pullman\" target=\"_blank\" >11200 block of South Corliss Avenue</a> around 11 p.m. Saturday when she were shot in the leg, according to police. That location is about a block south of the Calumet District CPD station.</p><p>The sergeant drove to a nearby hospital, where she was reported in good condition. </p><p>Minutes earlier, Taylor allegedly shot his 63-year-old mother inside a residence in the 11300 block of South Indiana Avenue, according to police sources.</p><p> Taylor, 26, is scheduled to appear in court Tuesday. </p>",
