"textContent": "<p>A firefighter was at Stroger Hospital in serious condition after possibly falling through the roof of a Rogers Park apartment building that erupted in flames on Monday afternoon.</p><p>The 2-11 alarm fire was controlled about 12:15 p.m. at a multi-story building at 1757 W. The firefighter arrived at Stroger at 12:28 p.m., the dispatcher said. </p><p>Several people including a dog had been displaced, according to the dispatcher. </p><p>As of 1 p.m. Chicago police officers had the scene blocked off to pedestrians and motorists.</p><p><i>This is a developing story.
