CTA Yellow Line suspended due to medical emergency in Skokie

CTA Yellow Line service has been suspended due to a medical emergency on the tracks near Skokie.

Skokie police and fire departments responded to the emergency around 12:40 p.m. Thursday near the Skokie station at 5005 Dempster St., according to a CTA spokesperson.

The condition of the person and circumstances of the emergency were not immediately released.

Shuttle buses are transporting CTA passengers between Yellow Line stations while service is suspended.

Service should resume shortly, the CTA spokesperson said.
