  "textContent": "<p>The <a class=\"Link\" href=\"https://chicago.suntimes.com/bears\" target=\"_blank\" >Bears</a> are looking for wide receivers to compete behind Rome Odunze and Luther Burden this season, and longtime Lions player Kalif Raymond is in the mix. The Bears agreed to a one-year, $5.1 million deal with Raymond on Tuesday, a source said, and he will sign when contracts can be finalized Wednesday.</p><p>Raymond, 31, joined the Bears a day after Olamide Zaccheaus left for the Falcons in free agency. He and Jahdae Walker currently are next in line after Odunze and Burden.</p><p>Raymond had 24 catches for 289 yards and a touchdown for the Lions last season, as well as returning punts and kickoffs. He had a punt return for a touchdown last season and has three in his career.</p><p>He was with the Lions the last five seasons and overlapped with Bears coach <a class=\"Link\" href=\"https://chicago.suntimes.com/bears/2025/09/01/the-bears-and-their-fans-needed-a-truth-teller-they-got-one-in-new-coach-ben-johnson\" >Ben Johnson</a> from 2021 through '24. He had his best seasons when Johnson was a Lions assistant, and over those four seasons he totaled 147 receptions, 1,896 yards and seven touchdowns.</p>",
