Man shot to death in Englewood apartment

A man was found shot to death late Monday in the hallway of an Englewood apartment on the South Side.
Around 11:45 p.m., officers responded to a call for service at an apartment building in the 800 block of West 66th Street where 24-year-old Terrell M. Britten was found in a hallway unresponsive with gunshot wounds to his face and abdomen, Chicago police and the Cook County medical examiner's office said.
Britten, of the 6700 block of South Sangamon Street, was pronounced dead at 11:50 p.m. at the scene, the medical examiner's office said.
A weapon was recovered at the scene, authorities said.
Area 1 detectives were investigating.
