"textContent": "<p>Former <a class=\"Link\" href=\"https://chicago.suntimes.com/bears\" target=\"_blank\" >Bears</a> quarterback Mitch Trubisky will have a new home in 2026: Nashville, Tenn.</p><p>He agreed to sign a two-year deal with the Titans, per NFL Network, on the first day of <a class=\"Link\" href=\"https://chicago.suntimes.com/bears/2026/03/08/bears-transaction-tracker-2026-offseason-free-agency-coming-going-ryan-poles-ben-johnson\" target=\"_blank\" >legal tampering</a> in the NFL. He'll serve as a backup quarterback to Cam Ward, who was the No. 1 overall pick last year. He'll play for Robert Saleh, who was named head coach in January, and coordinator Brian Daboll.</p><p>Trubisky knows Daboll's system, having played for him in 2021, which was the quarterback's first tour with the Bills. Since leaving the Bears after the 2020 season, Trubisky played a year in Buffalko, then two in Pittsburgh and two more in Buffalo.</p><p>When Trubisky traveled to Halas Hall last year for a joint practice between the Bears and Bills, he reflected on playing quarterback in Chicago.</p><p>\"There’s a lot of pressure that comes with that, but it’s a privilege,\" he said. “I miss that.
