A 16-year-old boy was shot while attempting to flee from an armed robbery attempt Monday night in West Pullman on the Far South Side, according to Chicago police.

Around 11 p.m., the teen was walking in the 12700 block of South Wentworth Avenue when two people approached him and demanded his belongings at gunpoint, police said in a statement.

The boy tried to flee and was shot in the left thigh and right calf and went to the Roseland Community Hospital, where he was listed in fair condition, police said. Police reported no arrests.
