CPD squad car collides with CTA bus in Ukrainian Village; 2 officers among 3 hospitalized

Two officers were among three people hospitalized after a Chicago police squad car collided with a CTA bus early Friday in Ukrainian Village on the Northwest Side, according to Chicago police.

The officers were traveling south on Hoyne Avenue when they "came into contact" with the CTA bus going west on Chicago Avenue around 12:15 a.m., police said in a statement.

A passenger on the bus was taken to Stroger Hospital with a minor injury and was in good condition, police said. Two officers were hospitalized for observation and were in good condition.
