"textContent": "<p>A man is facing attempted murder charges in a shooting that took place in Back of the Yards last month, according to Chicago police.</p><p>Jonathan Smith, 30, faces two counts of attempted murder, two counts of aggravated battery for discharging a firearm into a vehicle and two counts of aggravated battery by discharging a firearm, police said.</p><p>Smith is alleged to have shot a 23-year-old man who was sitting in a parked car in the 4800 block of South Elizabeth Street at 9:16 p.m. Jan. 24, police said. The wounded man was taken to University of Chicago Medical Center in good condition.</p><p>He is also accused of shooting at a 28-year-old man and a 4-year-old child who were inside another vehicle, police said.</p><p>Smith is due back in court Friday.</p>",
