Man, 53, dies after Chatham shooting inside home

A man was shot multiple times and was killed Friday night, Chicago police said.

The 53-year-old man was inside a home in the 8000 block of South Eberhart Avenue in Chatham about 5:40 p.m. when he was shot multiple times.

He was taken to University of Chicago Medical Center in critical condition, police said. He was later pronounced dead.

Area 2 detectives are investigating.
