  "textContent": "<p>A woman who was set on fire in a CTA Blue Line attack last November in the Loop has been released from Stroger Hospital. </p><p>In a statement released Friday, Bethany MaGee wrote: \"My family and I are grateful to be able to celebrate this milestone, and we want to sincerely thank everyone who has offered support, kindness, and encouragement during this time. I am especially thankful to the burn team at Stroger Hospital for their exceptional care, compassion, and expertise, as well as for the support they showed my family throughout my hospitalization.\"</p><p>MaGee was on the train when she was allegedly doused in gasoline and set on fire by Lawrence Reed in an attack described as \"<a class=\"Link\" href=\"https://chicago.suntimes.com/crime/2025/11/19/terrorism-charges-filed-after-woman-lit-on-fire-on-blue-line-in-loop\" target=\"_blank\" >brutal and vicious.</a>\" </p><p>Reed faces a terrorism charge and a maximum sentence of life in prison.<br></p>",
