The International Society for Moral Psychology (ISMP) is a new association that aims to be an “interdisciplinary and international home for moral psychology, aimed at fostering deeper engagement across traditions, methodologies, and cultural contexts.” An announcement from the association states that ISMP is “focused on two initiatives: an annual conference, and a mentoring program for graduate students, postdocs, and early-career scholars with interests in moral psychology from anywhere in the world.” The first conference will be at Cornell University in September. Additionally, at the moment you can join the organization at no cost: Thanks to a generous grant from Templeton World Charities Foundation, membership in ISMP is free for a limited time. We cordially invite you, and your students and colleagues to join ISMP. The inaugural president of ISMP is Valerie Tiberius (University of Minnesota) and its vice-president is Laura Niemi (Cornell), who with John Doris (Cornell), is also co-project director. You learn more about the organization here.
