Which Ryzen is the best for gaming, not best bang for the buck, just the best ?

Is the Ryzen 9950X3D2 better than the 9800X3D for a gaming PC. Pretty sure I already know the answer, but there might be something I am not aware of. I have a friend who's old mobo died, so I'm thinking of cheaply selling him my 9800X3D.
