“What’s so different?” Tony inquired, in a voice that was twinged with uncharacteristic hesitation

“The fact that I don’t belong anymore, for one!” Peter blurts.

“Yes you do,”

‘Except, I don’t..“ Peter continued, his eyes darting around with no real destination for them to settle on. ’'I don’t have a place anywhere I go anymore. And before I.. before I was dusted I was just starting to think I’d found one,”

Tony let out a shuddering breath and slowly approached the teenager.

“Peter, don’t you ever say you don’t belong, you do. You’ll always belong,” Comes the man’s anguished voice. “Things may be different now but one thing’s not. The fact that I never stopped missing you, Peter, not once. For a while there, you were gone and I had to picture – in vivid technicolor, by the way, what the world’s like.. without you being in it. And you know what? It was fucking horrible, it’s not one I want to be apart of ever again. But you know what else? I dealt with it for five whole years all in the hopes of getting you back,”
