Tony Stark survived the Gauntlet.

He’s rebuilding — the compound, the suits, the part of himself that got dusted with half the universe. He has his bots, he has FRIDAY, he has Rhodey, he has his kids. He has a life that is, by most measurable standards, fine.

What he does not have, & did not ask for, and does not know what to do with, is three Alphas.

Specifically: one reformed assassin who expresses affection through home-cooked food & the expression of a man standing in the rain; one Sorcerer Supreme who expresses affection through territorial posturing & accidentally useful magic; & one Asgardian god of mischief who expresses it through grand gestures, worse poetry, & an apparent inability to grasp personal space.

Tony is an Omega who has spent 30 years convincing the world — & himself — that he isn’t. He is very busy. He has a company. He has two pseudo-sons suspicious of everyone’s intentions. He has a robot stealing his protein bars.

He is not, he would like the record to reflect, in any way equipped for this.
