Realizing he needed to leave, Peter attempted to swing out, but by then, it was too late. The machine had scorched the surrounding areas in a white light, and now it was consuming him too. Peter’s eyes shut on instinct, the flash was too much for him to bare. The energy put immense pressure on his brain, and the heat felt as if it would scorch his bones. He needed to get out, but he couldn’t will his body to move. He couldn’t do anything, except continue to become engulfed in the light. I’m not surviving this, am I?
