Peter moves slowly. He supports his head. He runs his thumb along the side of a cold, oh so soft cheek. His face is covered in tiny, soft baby hairs. He doesn’t move, doesn’t turn his head at the light touch. Peter can’t help but think as he stared down at the tiny child laying in his arms that, if he stared long enough, he’d see his chest rise with breath.

Or, Peter and Morgan’s brother is stillborn, and this is their perspective of everything. Written by someone who experienced child loss through the eyes of a 5 and 17-year-old.
