Her spider-sense suddenly blared like an alarm, rattling her already pounding head. Penny twisted and shot out her arms, wrists forward and fingers pressing down onto the trigger of her web shooters. Instead of a steady stream sent to her plausible attacker, the shooters hissed, a tiny string from each ejecting and falling uselessly to the ground.

Penny cursed under her breath, crawling away from the figure moving slowly towards her. Her back hit a chunk of debris from the crumpled remains of what once was a sturdy retail store, and she was effectively cornered as Iron Man—the Iron Man—ducked under a low hanging beam of fallen concrete a few feet away from her.

Oh, she was so screwed.

“Spider-Girl! If I didn’t know any better, I’d say you’ve been avoiding us.” Tony Stark’s voice was as pompous as it was in every news report, press conference, and interview she had ever watched starring him. She was a major fan after all, even if he was hunting her down to turn her in to SHIELD.

OR: The one where Spider-Girl’s identity is surprisingly easy to uncover, Penny Parker is taken in for questioning, and consequently becomes a mentee to Tony Stark.
