"textContent": "> ## The Surprisingly Powerful One-Page Notebook That’s Always With Me\n>\n> _There’s a sweet little niche in the stationery world for everyday-carry (EDC) notebooks. Field Notes, Moleskine, Rite in the Rain, Leuchtturm1917, Rhodia, good ol’ Spirax, and so many more. [...] I’ve used (and loved) many of those little cuties, but there’s a new contender for paper notes that’s free of the pressure a proper notebook can imply, and it doesn’t cost a thing..._\n>\n> Read the Full Post by Ellane on Ellanew.com\n\nLast year I came across this super interesting article and for some reason I didn’t even bring it on my weeknotes of that week. In any case, the idea floated around in my mind since then, but I didn’t get around to it back then. It was just one of many things that seemed cool and productive, and I can’t help but be a procrastinator for those.\n\nA few days ago I saw Alexandra share the same post on Mastodon and it sparked the idea once again. It wasn’t until today that things kind of clicked and I thought it would be fun to try it out!\n\nI grabbed a piece of paper, folded it in 8 sections, cut in the middle to turn it into a little book, and started to write on it!\n\nSome of the sections I added to mine this time around were:\n\n * A cover\n * A to-do list\n * A list of media I liked\n * A list of the food I ate today\n * A random thought\n * A random thing\n * A how-to-make for the one-page notebook\n * A doodle on the last page\n\n\n\nA nice thing about this is that it’s completely reversible! So you can have both sides of the sheet at your disposal.\n\nThis is how it looks when it’s completely folded up. it’s super compact and fits on any pocket, no big deal, and yet quite useful to have.\n\nMy one-page notebook closed and in my hand\n\nAnd here is how it looks once unfolded and flat, as I mentioned, part of it is upside down, completely fine when folded, although I Ellane reminds in her article that the direction doesn’t matter at all anyway, especially on the original concept where it’s just the folded sheet without any cuts.\n\nMy complete one-page notebook\n\nAs most of it is on cursive and a part of it is upside down, ~~it’s probably better to download the image and rotate it on your image viewer of choice.~~ **EDIT:_you can click/tap the image to rotate it!_**\n\nOf course, here’s a text version of the contents if you want to just read what it says!\n\nView text version\n\n**ONE PAGE NOTE BOOK**\n\nMarch 7, 2026\n\nwritten by Joel\n\ninspired by Ellane\n\n* * *\n\n**TO-DO LIST**\n\n * Return purchases to delivery office\n * Mopping the floor\n * Prepped songs for church\n * Find Hollow Knight Map\n * Transfer music to mp3 player\n * Reorganize my physical game collection\n * Go to BBQ party\n * Take out old clothes\n\n\n\n* * *\n\n**MEDIA I LIKED**\n\n * Played CrossCode (chapters 6 and 7 done)\n * Wolf 359 - Episode 42 (absolute masterpiece)\n * Saw a video about a tiny e-reader\n * Started watching Orb: On the Movements of the Earth\n * Started manga Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo\n\n\n\n* * *\n\n**FOOD I ATE TODAY**\n\n * Morning Breakfast: Eggs with chorizo\n * Snack: Cheetos Flaming Hot\n * Afternoon Lunch: Entomatadas and salad\n * Evening Dinner: TBD (probably BBQ)\n\n\n\n* * *\n\n**Random Thought**\n\nEven though I still make mistakes, I feel much more comfortable writing in cursive by now.\n\nFeels much more fluid and I even forgot how some block letters are written, LOL\n\n* * *\n\n**More Random Things**\n\n * Found an old speaker themed after the LSU Tigers, plugged my mp3 player and still works!! It had been unused for like 5 years.\n * Got a USB hub for my laptop, it’s great!\n\n\n\n* * *\n\n**How to Make**\n\n * Fold a paper sheet like so (in 8 parts)\n * Fold in half and cut (on the short side, cut in the middle and just half, not all the way)\n * Fold the other way now (on the long side)\n * Expand and pull (folding it up as it opens)\n * Done!\n\n\n\n* * *\n\n**This is the last page**\n\n(A rough draft of Lea from the videogame CrossCode, making a smug face, completely ruined by the shading done with a pen)\n\nSo, how do you feel about this kind of analog productivity stuff? I keep jumping on and off, but this one seemed rather fun to me, and I may make use of it on a more regular basis, I just need to not forget about it…\n\nIf you decide to make your own, I would love to see it as well! Any advice or ideas to implement for it are welcome too, but maybe keeping it simple is the point of it all…\n\nThis is day 30 of #100DaysToOffload\n\nReply to this post via email](mailto:me@joelchrono.xyz?subject=I made a one-page notebook) | [Reply on Fediverse",
