"textContent": "WW 214 TORNADO IA KS NE 172010Z - 180400Z\n\n\n\n\n URGENT - IMMEDIATE BROADCAST REQUESTED\n Tornado Watch Number 214\n NWS Storm Prediction Center Norman OK\n 310 PM CDT Sun May 17 2026\n\n The NWS Storm Prediction Center has issued a\n\n * Tornado Watch for portions of\n Far Southwest Iowa\n North-Central and Northeast Kansas\n Southeast Nebraska\n\n * Effective this Sunday afternoon and evening from 310 PM until\n 1100 PM CDT.\n\n * Primary threats include...\n A few tornadoes likely with a couple intense tornadoes possible\n Scattered damaging winds likely with isolated significant gusts\n to 75 mph possible\n Scattered large hail likely with isolated very large hail events\n to 3 inches in diameter possible\n\n SUMMARY...The airmass ahead of the approaching cold front from\n southeast Nebraska into north-central/northeast Kansas continues to\n destabilize amid strong heating and low-level moisture advection.\n Discrete thunderstorm development is possible in the warm sector\n ahead of this cold front, with the environmental conditions\n supportive of supercells capable of all hazards, including very\n large hail to 3\" in diameter and strong tornadoes.
