waiting

Recently, I have been waiting a lot. A lot of it has been waiting for things to happen. I do my part and have to wait for others. And wait. And wait. It feels like forever. And wait. And wait. Is any of this going to amount to anything? After what feels like forever, the next process might begin. Fantastic, progress is good! So, you do the next thing. And wait. And wait. You try to reach out. And wait. And wait. You never get a reply. More progress, this time there is a deadline! They say you should hear back shortly. So you, once again, wait. And wait. And wait. Has it been days already? And wait. And wait. Weeks? And wait. And wait. Months? And wait. And wait. The deadline is just there and there has been no updates. Then, everything happens at once. Do this! Fill that out! Talk to these people. Now those. Go here and do something. All of this is in the span of only a couple days. Drip fed and then dumped all at once. Now everything is done. You would be done now, right? Nope! Now, you get to wait one last time! The deadline they set draws near. You need one last thing before you can finally move on. So, like before, you wait. And wait. And wait.
